Many community leaders and volunteers in the Bay Area roll up their sleeves and lend a hand in the South Coast's greatest community winter tradition -- the annual Holiday Lights & Open House at Shore Acres State Park.
For the past six years, the Coos Bay-North Bend Rotary Club has decorated the large oriental pond area of the formal gardens. Rotarians and their families have enjoyed this opportunity to give back to the community. The festive lights are strung with care for tens of thousands to enjoy from Thanksgiving through New Year's.
Light stringing is only part of Rotary's commitment to Shore Acres. Hosting at the Holiday Lights is another opportunity to support this area's favorite place to bring visiting family and friends. Friendly Rotarians welcome visitors and serve hot cider, punch, coffee and cookies.
Coos Bay-North Bend Rotary Club shares in the tremendous pride we all have in this wonderful Christmas tradition
